NovaHep is based on research conducted at the Huddinge unit of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

The results of stem-cell research show a promising way of using liver cells as a base for gene therapy of liver diseases, such as Hepatitis C.

The company will continue to further document the therapeutic and clinical use of liver cells in areas of great medical needs.

NovaHep’s intention is to increase its research resources in this field and to accelerate the development process. The objective is to offer a wide range of new therapeutic treatments for such patients on a global basis.
